Decorating the girls' room

First of all that sounds weird. The girls' room. Yikes, soon there will be 2 girls in my house. The process just started but I am having so much fun. Right now Camryn's room is not very girly. Levi and I went shopping for all her stuff before we found out we were having a girl. So instead of pink, the room is mostly green with a little pink, yellow and blue thrown in. When I found out we are having another girl I got so excited. I decided I wanted to completely redecorate their room and make it pretty and girly.

My first mission was to find bedding for both girls and then get a color scheme. After looking for a while, I found a cute bedding that came in both toddler bedding and crib bedding. It was pink and brown with flowers. PERFECT! I had to wait to get our tax return to be able to buy everything I needed. Luckily, Levi got his W2 pretty early and it didn't take long to get our return. I wanted to make sure the room was ready atleast a few weeks before my due date.

Last Saturday, Camryn and I went down to Kirkland. Met up with my mom and sister Kim and we went shopping. I wanted to buy as much as I could for their room. I came to find out that Target wasn't carrying the bedding I picked out anymore. BUMMER! I had to find all new bedding. After our visit to Target we stopped by my grandma and grandpa's house. We haven't seen them since x-mas. While we were there I looked on their computer for new bedding. Luckily, I was able to find bedding I liked at Walmart and it was so much cheaper than the previous bedding. SWEET!

After we left the grandparent's, we went to Walmart. I was able to find the crib bedding and the mattress for Camryn's bed at the store. Everything else I had to order online. So right now I am waiting to hear from Walmart saying that the toddler bedding, toddler bed, and some accessories has arrived. So while I wait I have kept myself busy with other stuff I can do. I went to our local craft store and bought some wood letters that spell out Jordyn. I am going to hang them on the wall above her crib. I painted them pink and brown. I also painted Camryn's letters. Her letters were light pink, yellow and green. I also painted shelves that are in the corner of their room. They were green, yellow and blue.

Stay tuned as I slowly decorate their room. I will keep you updated step by step and then I will reveal the finished room. :)
