Our painting project

A week ago my MIL had bought a unfinished rocking chair for Camryn. It is very cute. The perfect size. I decided to paint it the same colors as their room. I thought it would look better and be a fun project for Camryn and me. I had some paint left over from when I painted their names. I decided to make it mainly brown but add a little pink too. I let Camryn paint parts of it at the beginning. I knew it would need several layers so I knew I would be painting over what she was painting. It only took 2 days and I think it looks great. On day 2 I couldn't let Camryn help me anymore so I bought her an unfinished piece she could paint. It was the word princess.

The new addition

I was looking at Jaime's blog and saw a picture of curtains that Cori and Brandi made. I thought those would be perfect for the girls' room. I had bought a matching window vance but it was too short for the window and I've always wanted curtains so it's not bright in the morning. I asked my mom to make them for me. We went and bought the same sheets that Cori had bought and then my mom and sister sewed them when I was in the hospital having Jordyn. They even cut up the window vance so it would match the room. I am so happy with them. They are exactly what I wanted. Thanks to mom, Kim, Cori, Brandi and Jaime. :)

First foot prints

When I had my baby shower for Camryn, I got a first foot and hand print holder. I really like it so when I was buying stuff for Jordyn, I really wanted to get one. I couldn't find one like Camryn's, but I found a similar one. I think it worked out because they are both Winnie the Pooh but they look different. That way I know who's are who's. :) I decided to do Jordyn's today. I think it went well. The foot is easy. The hand is a bit tougher, but I am happy with how it looks. The first picture is of Camryn's and the second is of Jordyn.

Happy Easter!

Yesterday was Easter. It was a very fun day. My mom, Kim, Erin and Pedro came up for the day. After they got here we visited for a little bit then I wanted to hide Camryn's Easter eggs. Kim took Camryn outside to blow bubbles. My mom, Pedro and I hid the eggs in the livingroom and her bedroom. We gave her a big basket to collect her eggs in. We hid 43 eggs. They were filled with jelly beans, chocolate eggs, fruit snacks, stickers and money. She did very well finding the eggs. She had a blast. That is all she wanted to do all day. My poor mother had to rehid and find the eggs all day.

After Camryn found and opened the inital eggs, Kim gave her an Easter basket from her and Pedro. It had Crayola Color Wonder coloring pads and the markers, some gummi savers, and 2 stuffed bunnies. One is pink and one is purple and Kim told Camryn to choose which one is for her and which one is for Jordyn. Camryn kept the purple for herself and gave Jordyn the pink one. Camryn laid the bunny next to Jordyn when she was sleeping in her bouncer. The whole day, Camryn made sure Jordyn had her bunny next to her. It was so cute. Levi and I had given Camryn her Easter gift last week. She got a golf set. It has 3 balls, a putter, a driver and a iron. Later in the day, I took the girls to Walmart and Camryn grabbed her bunny and Jordyn's to come with us. I can't wait until next Easter. I'll have 2 kids to hid eggs for. :)

Easter egg hunt

Today Levi, Camryn, Jordyn and I went to an Easter egg hunt at a nearby park. It was cold but luckily didn't rain. As we drove close we noticed how many people were there. There was a ton of people. We had to park at a middle school down the street. The hunt was seperated by age group. The kids were only allowed to pick 8 eggs. We took her to the 2 and under area. The eggs were just thrown on the ground so it was super easy to find them. Camryn got her 8(actually 9)in about a minute. Then we went to a bench to open them. Some eggs had a ticket inside. If you found a ticket then you won a prize. No tickets for Camryn. Just candy. Which is fine with her. :) It was a lot of fun. Tomorrow I am going to hide eggs in our house for Camryn. It will be more fun if she has to look for them.

PS. I finally fixed the date on my camera. Yay! Now my pictures show the correct date.

Welcome to the world Jordyn Lucille

Yay! It is over and she is here. I won't go into detail about the labor and delivery. There were some horrible parts and some good parts. I am just glad Jordyn is here. She is so cute and reminds me of Camryn at times. We have made it through our fist night home. Since it's been a while since I've had a newborn, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. She was quite a handful. She didn't want to sleep in her pack and play. She did sleep a little next to me in bed. I am very happy that her crying didn't wake up Camryn. When I woke up this morning it felt like I had been hit by a truck. My whole body is super sore. I am so glad the doctor prescribed me some pain medication. Let's just hope it helps. My arms are the worst. When I was in the hospital, they gave me a shot in my left arm. She warned me it would be really sore. I was hoping it would be ok by now. Let's see what the rest of the day has in store.

Coming to an end

I had my last Dr. appt yesterday. I was so happy to go because we were going to get a day set up for me to be induced. When I arrived they informed me that the Dr would be about 15 mins late. No problem. However, I arrived at 11:30 for my 11:40 appt and I was called back at 12:30. That is definitely not 15 mins. I was so annoyed by the time they got around to me. After that, my appt went a lot better. I am still at 3 1/2 centimeters, which is what I expected. She said since my due date was last Friday then I would get induced the following Friday April 3rd. Let's just hope a whole bunch of women don't go into labor on Friday and take all the beds. If that happens I have to wait longer. :( I think Erin is happy because she picked the 3rd on her baby pool and now she can buy herself a $1 lotto ticket. lol Good job Erin! I was close. I picked the 2nd. I knew from the beginning that Jordyn would be an April baby. Which I think is good. We have a lot going on in March. Too many other birthdays. April we only have 3 so far. My sister Kim's is on the 1st, my Great Aunt Sharon's is on the 2nd and my MIL Kristi's is on the 23rd. It's kind of funny that we will have 3 birthdays in a row.

After my last Dr appt, I started thinking about how my pregnancy is almost over. I started thinking about when I found out I was pregnant and couldn't wait to tell everyone. :) I waited about 10 mins before I told the first person. lol I was so lucky to be at home during this pregnancy. So much easier to get sick in your own house. I was a little more sick with this one then with Camryn, but overall I had a good pregnancy. I was so proud of myself when I found out I only gained 2 pounds over the last 9 months. I did a lot of walking this time around. Helped me keep off the pounds while I was able to eat whatever I wanted. I will miss those days. lol

This will be the last time you hear from me as a pregnant woman. Next time, I'll have some adorable pics of my new baby girl. We are all very excited to finally meet her.
