Bedtime

There are a couple things Camryn has to have before she can go to bed. The first is her binky. I have been trying to reduce the times she has her binky but right now she still has it for naptime or bedtime. Second, is her sippy cup. As soon as i tell her it's bedtime she runs and grabs her sippy cup. It's kind of like her security blanket. Third, is her off-white Pooh blanket. I started putting it in her crib around winter time. Then in the spring i took it out but she found it and wanted me to put it back in her crib. I really didn't think she would notice it was gone. Finally, the newest addition to her crib is her stuffed lamb. This was given to her by our old neighbor Helen easter 07. Before a couple weeks ago she had never acknowledged it. But now she has to have it in her crib for bedtime. I think it's cute but it's pretty big. It's almost the same size as her.

Exciting things to come!

I was just thinking of all the exciting things that will be coming in the next year and early next year. First thing, is Kim and her husband Pedro will be moving here Aug 20th. She has been gone for just over a year. I am also very excited for her 2nd wedding which will be in Oct. Her friends and family had missed the first one since it was in Peru, so they will be having a second one with her family and friends. Camryn is going to be the flower girl. It's going to be interesting if she will be ok if front of 150 people. But she will definitely look adorable in her dress.

Third, I am very excited to be pregnant and will be welcoming my second child at the end of March 2009. For people that might ask, i've actually already been asked this question twice, no i don't know the sex of the baby. I am only a month along so it will probably be Nov that i find out. We are very lucky that our place has a pretty big 2nd bedroom. There will be plenty of room for Camryn's toddler bed and the crib. I am very excited to redecorate their room. That won't happen until early next year.

Interesting combinations

Camryn likes some interesting food combinations. Today she wanted some vanilla pudding and then put some pretzels in it. That is something I wouldn't choose to eat. She loves ketchup. Everything and anything goes with ketchup. She has eaten cheetos, pinnapple, and bread with ketchup to name a few.

We got our fence!

We had asked our landlord for a fence to enclose the backyard. When we play in the backyard with Camryn, she has a habit of running off into the front yard. Ron, our landlord, agreed to build us a fence as long as you can't see it from the street. Levi wasn't thrilled because it would make our backyard smaller, but I was so happy. Camryn's saftey is number one. They arrived at 7am yesterday to put in the posts and came back today to finish it. I think it looks great. I love it. Now I don't have to worry about Camryn when she's playing in the backyard.

Vegas!!

We just got back from a wonderful 6 days in Las Vegas. On June 4th, Denise, Ron, Jeremy, Camryn and I flew to Vegas. Levi had to work that night so he flew out the next morning. The plane ride wasn't too bad. I asked the man that was sitting next to us to switch seats with Ron. He was more than happy to do so. It definitely helped that we sat next to Ron. Camryn loves Ron so much. When we arrived in Vegas the weather was odd. One minute it would be sunny and the next it would be raining or cloudy and really windy. Luckily it was only like that the first day. The next day we all went to the pool. They have a very big pool that was a little cold(it was fine once you were in it)then they had a waiting pool that was nice and warm and only one foot deep. Perfect for Camryn.

Levi's plane was delayed an hour so he arrived around 4. We left the condo at 5:15 to go to Caesars Palace for dinner. Denise had a gift cert to Mesa Grill. It's owned by Chef Bobby Flay. We were all so excited to go. Traffic was awful on the Strip. We were finally a couple blocks away when Ron took a wrong turn. Our reservations were at 6:15 and we knew there was no way we would make it in time. Denise called and was able to move our reservations to 6:45. The Mesa Grill is amazing. It was the best food I've ever had.

The next day we just relaxed. Went swimming or layed by the pool. Friday night, Denise, Jeremy and Levi went to see Elton John. Ron, Camryn and I went to the Hard Rock Cafe. On Saturday, Levi and I wanted to walk the Strip. We started at Treasure Island and got picked up at The Luxor. It was hot but it was something we both wanted to do. We mostly took pictures. We went into 2 casinos. The Mirage and The Bellagio. I really wanted to gamble in the Bellagio I didn't care that I lost $20. Levi had to leave Sunday so he would be back to work on Monday. Ron and Jeremy went golfing almost every moring. While they were golfing on sunday, Denise, Camryn and I took a shuttle to the Strip. I really wanted to go to Madame Tussauds. She had never been there before. I have been to the one in London. It was fun. I got my picture taken with Johnny Depp, Michael Jackson, Hugh Hefner, Lucille Ball and JFK and Jackio O. Denise got her picture taken with Arnold S, Sylvester Stallone, Elton John and Princess Diana. We tried to walk to the M&M store but it was too far. We had to get back to the shuttle. Later that day, Ron took us to Ethel M's Chocolate Factory. It was Sun so they weren't making chocolate but we bought some. My favorite was the PB&J. It was so good. Monday was already here. The day we leave. We had a late flight so we still had all day.

Early in the day we went to Fremont Street. It's a great place to buy souviners. Then we went swimming one last time before we left. Our plane was delayed 40 mins. Not good when you are traveling with a 20 month old. We ate dinner then we spent about 25 mins on the moving walkway. lol Camryn loved it. Finally we got on the plane. I was praying that no one would sit next to us. That way we would have more space. YES!! The plane was pretty much full but no one sat next to us. I was so happy. Camryn sat a little bit in the seat but she kept going back and forth between my lap and the seat. She was pretty good the first hour. She watched Little Einsteins on the dvd player. Everytime they turned off the lights she freaked out. The last 40 mins was awful. She was soooo tired. Our plane landed at 12:30am. We finally got home at 2am. Feels good to be home but it's freezing.

First hot day!

It was the first hot day of the year today. The weather report said it would be in the low 90's around 3pm. Yikes. That is hot! I decided today would be a good day to pull out an octupus sprinkler that Camryn got for her birthday. I blew it up while she was napping and got it hooked up. I turned on the water and realized that our hose had lots of holes and water was spraying out. I pulled out the duck tape and tried to cover up the holes but it still sprays out. Camryn woke up from her nap and ate lunch. Then i got her in her new bathing suit, which she didn't want to wear. She got excited as soon as she saw the purple octupus. Before i knew it, she was soaked. lol She had so much fun. At one point, all she did was run over to the leak in the hose instead of the sprinkler. It sprayed about as much as the sprinkler did.

Ball Ball Ball

I woke up this morning to a someone yelling Ball Ball Ball. Yes that was Camryn. She has a new favorite toy. It's a purple ball with Scooby Doo on it that my mom gave her. She played with it all day Sunday and a good part of Monday. When we drove home from my mom's house on Sunday, she held onto the ball the whole ride home. This morning she woke up and saw the ball in her room. She has also started to call her binky Ball. So I wasn't sure if she meant the real ball or her binky. It's very cute but also very confusing. She will be a good soccer player when she is older. She is very good at kicking the ball.
