Haircut time

I have a thing about long hair. I like it on myself and I like it on Camryn. But it was time for Camryn to get a haircut. She had mentioned a couple times that she wants one and other people have mentioned it too. lol I have to admit it would be so much easier to take care of if it was shorter. So I agreed. I took Camryn to Brat Pack, a kid salon in Redmond, yesterday. Everyday leading up to yesterday, Camryn has said she wants a haircut but yesterday she said she didn't want one. Well now it's too late. I had already made an appt and that place is busy. She wasn't in a good mood but that wasn't surprising. She seems to like it now that it's done. Not sure how many inches we cut off but now it's at her shoulders. A nice summer cut.

Time to play

Today I got the girls back from Levi. We went home, had lunch and then Jordyn took a nap. After her nap we went to the play area at Bellevue Square. I like this play area because it's pretty big. The one at Alderwood mall is a lot smaller. Jordyn was a little hesitate but ended up having a blast. Camryn always finds a friend and runs off her them. This was Jordyn real first time playing. She loved the slide. She kept trying to climb up the slide. lol She needed some help but she did a great job climbing onto the toys. We stayed for a little over an hour but then it was time to go home and have dinner.

Another day at the beach

Today the kids and I headed out to Monroe to play at the beach with Cori, Alex(her sister) and the triplets. The kids had a blast in the water and playing in the sand. Camryn made a nice little sand castle. Jordyn spent a little time in the water. She wasn't really feeling the sand. I completely burnt my back. I guess i didn't do a good job putting sunscreen on it. Tomorrow the kids are off to Levi's and i will be spending as much time in the pool as i can. :)

Park and beach

Yesterday we had another nanny playdate at Idlywood park. We met up for a bbq lunch and then playing on the beach. Camryn spent most of her time at the playground while Jordyn and I enjoyed a yummy hot dog lunch. I'm glad I have someone that will eat with me. lol After lunch we headed down to the beach. We didn't stay for very long but Camryn loved playing in the water. Next time we'll have to skip the lunch and just play at the beach so we have more time.

My ode to Jordyn

I was looking through my phone and found so many cute pics of Jordyn so I thought I would dedicate this post to her.
She came into my life on April 3rd 2009. She is an amazing little girl. She brings me so much joy everyday. She has beautiful blue eyes and golden blonde hair. She is very affectionate. She loves hugs and being held. I am so excited to watch her grow up. Here are some of my favorite pics.

Fourth of July

Fourth of July isn't my favorite holiday. I can't stand fireworks but the food is usually good. This year the girls and I were invited to Bob and Kristi's. Levi had the girls over the weekend so I just picked them up on the way. I invited my sister because she didn't have any plans and she could help out with the kids.

We got there at 3. I thought we were late but luckily we were the first ones there. Everyone else ended up coming around 5. It worked out because we got some alone time with them before it got crowded. I didn't realize how attached Camryn has gotten to Bob. She didn't want to leave his side. He had to take off for about 20 mins and she went crazy. I am so glad to see them spend time together. It was so nice to see Jeremy and Megan, my brother and sister in law. I don't see them very often.

We stayed until about 7. I didn't want to get home too late and my mom wanted Camryn to spend the night at her house so they can watch the fireworks together. I was so happy that Jordyn slept through the fireworks. Every year I always worry.
